Materials - Paper Grades (Fibre)
Cardboard bales, sorted, cleaned and ready for market. All of our cardboard is destined for the far east - as this is where demand is greatest. It ends up as new boxes, packaging the goods of tomorrow!
Office papers, sorted and baled. This is predominantly a domestic grade, which means that it stays within the UK, frequently used in the production of tissue
General mixed papers, where it is uneconomical to separate the differing paper grades and board grades are sold as mixed papers.
This is from manufacturing and production (pre-consumer) waste and goes back into the production of tissue products
Cores and tubes are the lowest of the grades and there is a lot of adhesive used in the manufacture and not always the best fibres are used. This grade commonly attracts a charge to collect due to the poor value of the material
Printers waste is often a multitude of different paper grades and is its own grade - as it is generally much higher quality than general mixed papers due to the quality of papers that are printed on.
We always like to understand what sort of printer you are and what are the common grades you use.
